I thought for years about starting my own catering business; however, due to the seizure disorder that I had I was prevented from making any kind of commitment to the project. In August of 2006 I was attending a church service at our church, First Assembly in West Monroe, LA, and Pastor Shane Warren was relaying the instance in the Bible about the paralyzed man that could not get to Jesus through the crowd so his friends took him to the roof of the building, tore back the tiles, and lowered him down (Luke 5:17-26). I then felt in my spirit that I was asked, "What is the roof that keeps you from your healing?" You see, I believe in healing and according to Isaiah 53:5 when Jesus took His stripes I was already healed, I just needed to find out how to accept the gift. So I prayed, and I pondered the question that I had been asked "What is my roof...." Then it came to me, it was fear. "Fear of what?" you might ask. Why would anyone be afraid of being healed? It wasn't fear of being healed, it was fear of what my doctor would do to me if I claimed my healing and got off my medication. My doctor had made many threats and was not a very nice guy. The Word tells us that fear comes from Satan and as Christians we have authority over it and so I took that authority and put it into action. After I had accepted this healing the Lord told me to walk in obedience and start this catering business and use it for His glory. My God is an awesome God and He is true to His Word. I have been seizure free for 2 years next month. Praise God!! |
